Privacy policy
The short version: Hush runs entirely on your Mac. It makes no connection to any server we operate, there is no account, and we collect nothing about you or your machine.
What Hush reads, and where it stays
To show what is using your Mac and to ease back the background, Hush reads the same performance data macOS exposes to any local app: process names, CPU and memory use, memory pressure, disk and network activity, and battery condition. All of it is read locally and shown to you. None of it is transmitted, because Hush opens no remote connection.
What we do not do
- No account, sign-in, or profile.
- No telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking.
- No cloud, no sync, no third-party SDKs or advertising.
- Nothing is sold or shared, because nothing is collected.
You can verify this. Open a network monitor such as Little Snitch or Proxyman while Hush runs, and watch the connection stay quiet.
Your settings
Your preferences and per-app rules live in a plain file on your Mac, under your user Library. They never leave the machine. Move to a new Mac and copy the file, and your tuning comes with you.
